About This Project

Have you ever felt your kitchen was small, dark and had virtually no counter or storage space?  That is what prompted these homeowners to add several feet onto the kitchen area, vault the ceilings, add skylights and completely remodel the kitchen.  How much lighter and more spacious it is! Since this would be a well-used kitchen, it had to function well and also have pleasing details throughout.  We maximized storage with various pullout units, an appliance garage with bi-fold doors, a tilt-down door for hiding a phone and charging station and a TV hidden behind retractable doors that can be watched from the entire kitchen.  Favorite features include the “hutch” area with glass doors for displaying glassware and a buffet counter below as well as custom-designed posts at the seating area on the island, a welcoming place to sit and chat over a glass of wine and some appetizers.
