Because this home is a meant to be a getaway, the clients wanted their kitchen to be warm and inviting, with an island that has a welcoming wood top and outlets built into the top to allow for prolonged web surfing for the funniest video to share with family and friends. The muted tones of the painted cabinetry complement the pine wood walls and beams throughout the house and continue into the family room adjacent to the kitchen.
