Transitional Black & White

About This Project

This client had an old kitchen that was falling apart and lacked the character the homeowner desired. She added a conservatory off the back of the house and wanted to make sure it was incorporated into the flow of the kitchen. Having always loved French black and white diagonal patterned floors, she used this as her main design motif. Keeping white painted cabinets, black counters, and a smaller black tile motif in the backsplash pulled all the elements together. A peninsula with a wide counter allows friends to join in the fun of making delectable treats.
